Ubuntu Loving....

Tired of dealing with anti-viruses? or dealing with viruses themselves? What about those beautiful BSOD's? or random application crashes? Well fear no more! I'm here to tell you the good news about an alternative to this line of operating systems known as Windows. What is this alternative you say? It's commonly known as Linux. And guess what...it's FREE! Yes you read it right. Absolutely free. No more shelving out piles of cash for a product that seems to cause more headaches and pains than not. All you need is an active internet connection, some blank cd's and a little bit of time.

Today's linux distro I'll be talking about my favorite: Ubuntu. Ubuntu is backed by Canonical, so you can be rest assured that it's not some random guy's version of linux. It's developed by a full-time team of developers who are always working to make it better. It supports both 32-bit and 64-bit processor machines. The reason I like Ubuntu so much is that it's easy to install and setup on a computer. You have various options when it comes to installation. You can either install it alongside a windows installation, so you can dual-boot between the two, or install it as an application inside of windows(requires at least 4gb of space for storage), or you can run it off a 1gb usb drive. Not only that, I never have to buy or install an antivirus because all the virus makers focus on guess what...Windows! There's so much more to tell but I think I might have written too much. I'll be following up this post with more tips and tricks that can be done with Linux. If you're interested to learn more don't hesitate to ask in the comments.

P.S. No offense to windows lovers, but thought I would use this opportunity to get the word out about alternatives to Windows.
